When it comes to entertaining 1500 people or any large group for that matter, you need something with impact. Something that stops people in their tracks, but can also be enjoyed by everyone in the room. It shouldn’t matter, therefore, if you are front and centre or right at the back “with the gods”.
We take a look at our recent experience performing for the masses at The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (aka ICC).
Entertaining 1500 People
The Gidget Foundation were planning their Safari themed Gidget Ladies Lunch, they needed entertainment for 1500 lovely ladies. When Event Manager, Libby Bowditch, contacted us, she didn’t know what she wanted. We helped craft the perfect entertainment to start the event with a bang. Here’s what we did…
Background Beats
While guests arrived and gathered in the foyer, getting drinks and networking, funky African Beats filled the room… Here we have Lucky, Pepsie, Phillipe and Calvin creating an exciting atmosphere for the all-important first impression.
Performance – African Drum and Dance Spectacular
After leading the guests into The Grand Ballroom, our native African Performers put on one hell of a show. An action packed 15 minutes of even more drumming, singing and dancing really set the vibe for the event.
Planning
First of all, we got all the essential information from Libby, like what time we should start and who would be our point of contact on the day. Next, we contacted the event staff at the ICC and planned our arrival, parking and set up with them. It was actually so easy despite involving 1500 people.
“The performers were fabulous adding an extra special and authentic element to our event.” Libby Bowditch, Event Manager, Gidget Foundation
