You probably never thought it was possible for a room full of children to be captivated by one single person. Our African Master Drummer will have the children spellbound. He comes dressed in a colourful and authentic African costume and brings a drum for every child.
Children have an immediate attraction to the drums and love to feel the rhythm. Interactive drumming is an excellent energy release, encouraging social interaction and building confidence.
With over 15 years experience, our African Master Drummer is an expert at keeping the children entertained, through the use of age-appropriate games, stories and rhythm activities. This is a 50-minute high energy and interactive show, where every child gets a turn on the drums.

Testimonials
“What an incredible experience we all had this morning. We were entertained by an amazing drumming feast from Tuza. It’s actually very difficult to describe Tuza’s passion and enthusiasm, which he showed us through an interactive and exciting drumming workshop. The children’s faces were a delight to see and they were totally engaged by this experience. The air was filled with delightful beats and sounds and it emanated throughout the pre-school. The children all danced and participated with delight. The only word to describe the workshop is WOW!!!”
Terry Aizen, Emanuel Pre School
“African Beat was a once in a life time experience for all our children from young babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The performance was captivating and involved all the children. We had fun playing drums, dancing, singing along with the performer with a smile on his face and in his voice. The greatest of times and we are still talking about the experience!”

“Just want to let you know that the children and staff loved the performance… as I walked through the rooms afterwards the children were singing the African ‘hello’ song to me. It definitely made an impression on them so thank you very much for sharing your culture and music with us. I look forward to our next African beat performance!”
Heather Kilgour – Director, Campbelltown Community Preschool
“NBI is a not-for-profit organisation providing recreation programs to 6 – 25 year olds with a disability. African Beat facilitates an activity for us at least twice per year, and each time we are even more impressed than the last. The facilitators are always professional, engaging and inclusive of all our participants. They keep our groups interested and entertained for the entire hour. Having facilitators who are colourfully dressed, lively and clearly passionate about what they do makes the experience so much better. We highly recommend African Beat to other organisations.”
Emily Cottman, Northern Beaches Interchange

“Tuza was awesome. Children loved the performance and so did the staff. I will definitely book again for next year as it is so well worth it. We loved how Tuza enticed the children from the start to the end. The children seemed so interested in watching and playing the drums. A fantastic Show.”
Anna Valente, Montessori Academy
“It was brilliant! They were wonderful with the children. It was great that they were able to highlight the way of raising and caring for children and the significance of music in their day to day lives in their culture as part of the performance. We felt this was a really important aspect of the presentation and gave the children an insight into another culture.”
Julie Jenkins, Binnowee Kindergarten
“Master Tuza visited our preschool, and wow what an incredible incursion!!! His tenderness, patience and understanding of young children did not go unnoticed. His musical ability is incredible and I would highly recommend this incursion for any school either preschool or primary. We will definitely be re booking for next year.”
